Merit Award Application Form Link
The Conference Board of Higher Education is now accepting applications for the 2008 Board of Higher Education Merit Award for students attending a United Methodist Senate approved college or seminary, with a deadline of April 14th. The nomination form is here: http://rmcumc.org/COI/BHECM/2008%20Merit%20Award%20Applic.rtf. Apologies for leaving this link out of Friday's e-mail.
Articles Sought For Next Issue of The New Vision
The Conference communications team is seeking submissions for the next issue of The New Vision, which will be published in time for Easter. The theme of this issue is "...To one of the least of these..." based in two scriptures: from Matthew 25, "Whenever you did it for any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did it for me" (v. 40, CEV) and from 1 Corinthians 15 where Paul writes, "Finally, he appeared to me, even though I am...the least important of all..." (v. 8-9, CEV).
It is our hope--through words and pictures--to convey the Easter the message that Jesus was resurrected for all. Articles and graphics should be submitted to TNV editor Stuart Davis no later than January 25 at stuart at rmcumc.com. Thanks for helping "people see their ministry together in these states and beyond" as we United Methodists go about service in the name of Christ on our faith journeys.
Help to tell the story!

Hymn Suggestions for New Hymnal?
What Hymns Would You Like To See In A New United Methodist Hymnal?
This coming April the General Conference of the UMC will consider the recommendation for a new hymnal. This is the first of several research questions from the General Board of Discipleship. We want to know which hymns or songs you would like to see included. This survey will allow you to suggest titles to be considered for inclusion:
* Up to five titles from the current United Methodist Hymnal.
* Up to five titles from The Faith We Sing.
* Up to five titles not in either collection.
You may only complete the survey one time, so do not click the link below until you are ready to suggest titles. Once you have accessed the survey, you will not be allowed to return to it a second time, even if you did not complete it the first time or if you later wish to change your responses. Final date to complete this survey is January 31, 2008.
When ready to complete the survey, here's the link:

Please share this message with as many other United Methodists as possible - pastors, musicians, choir members, congregations, children, youth, adults.....
