Update from G. Bruce Maxwell, Statistician
"My first deadline of January the 31st has passed. As of February the 4th, 117 congregations have yet to even open a single table, 85 congregations have started but not submitted a report. Sixty-six congregations have completed their work. This doesn't say much for our attention to responsibilities.

"I have given you until February the 15th, but please, attend to this work as soon as possible. General Conference meets this year and GCFA wants a report by March the 15th. I cannot submit this report until your work is done.

"The website closes after February the 15th. After that date you'll have to contact either me or Nancy Cox to unlock your records so you can input your data.

"Please, PLEASE!!! Give this your immediate attention."

Report from "Nothing But Nets" Program
Many churches, individuals and groups are supporting the program to combat malaria thoughout Africa. The United Methodist Church has joined with NBA, Sports Illustrated and The United Nations Foundation to support this effort. In 2007, $6000 was raised by 14 churches through the Africa Partnership and the Angola Fund. Other churches have used the Advance Special Number to contribute to this cause. Money came from special events and fund raisers.

Remember there are two ways to contribute: Checks may be made out to "Rocky Mountain Conference" and in the memo line put Angola-Nets This money will be marked for purchasing nets to be distributed by the East and West Conferences of the United Methodist Church. When contributions are sent using the Advance Special number the money goes first to the General Board of Global Ministries and then to the United Nations Foundation for general distribution. A recent report about distribution of Nets in Mali is available at: http://www.nothingbutnets.net/node/743. Your support of this program is much appreciated. -- Burl Kreps for Angola Advocates
