ADVANCE NOTICE OF PETITIONS CONCERNING TEMPLED HILLS AND BUCKHORN CAMPS
To harmonize our mission with responsible stewardship of our assets and liabilities, the Conference Board of Trustees will be bringing forward petitions at the 2008 Annual Conference that seek authorization to sell all of Templed Hills Camp & Retreat Center, and the surplus acreage connected to Buckhorn Camp. (Buckhorn Camp itself is not affected.) Sales proceeds will pay debt associated with both camps in order to free up Conference cash flow for all Conference ministries (which will continue to include camp and retreat ministry). CF&A, the Board of Stewards and the Executive Leadership Team support the Trustees' actions. The rationale will be more fully set forth in the petitions.

For more information, you may contact Rev. Stephanie Munoz, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, email: pastorstephanie at qwestoffice.net.

You may also attend one of the following District/Sub-District meetings where Rev. Munoz will be in attendance to provide an overview of the proposed actions:

Pikes Peak Sub-District in Colorado Springs (2/23);
Mile High Sub-District at Parker UMC (2/23);
Peaks Sub-District at Loveland Trinity UMC (4/12);
Sunshine District in Pueblo (4/19);
and possibly Plains Sub-District in Limon (4/19).
