Ethics Education Training Location
The Ethics Education Training Event announced in the previous News post is being held June 18 at Denver Marriott Tech Center, the same hotel as the Annual Conference Session which begins at 7 p.m. that day. The Marriott is located at 4900 South Syracuse in Denver, east on Belleview from I-25, left onto Syracuse.


General Conference 2008 Page Launched
We've added a new General Conference 2008 page to our web site.  Linked on the page:

*	the "Countdown to General Conference" reflections now in process by members of the RMC Delegation.  Note that you can select "Reply" at the top or bottom of the post to add your reflections
*	a link to a "101" Introduction to GC
*	a link to the discussion forum for GC issues
*	the invitation to dinner for any who will be in Fort Worth on April 25
*	an interview with Annie Rigo and other young people who will be delivering the first-ever Young People's Address.

MHPP Pre-Conference Briefing Announced
Mile High/Pikes Peak District Pre-Conference Briefing - Saturday, May 17, 10:00 am - 12:00 noon, Tri-Lakes UMC, Monument.  For all district clergy, equalization and lay members to annual conference. RMC Deaconess Elected to Women's Division
Kumja Lim, Ministry Coordinator at Asbury Korean in Centennial, has been elected as a Women's Division Director for the term 2008-2012.  The election came during the Quadrennial Event of the Western Juridsdiction Core Planning Group in Honolulu, Hawawii. There were four directors elected from the eight conferences.  Rocky Mountain Conference is one of them.  The Women's Division is a division of the General Board of Global Ministries, http://gbgm-umc.org/.


UMVIM Updates
Dear Friends in Mission,
Here is some UM Volunteers in Mission and Missions Parade news for your Sunday bulletin:

1) KENYA Mission Trip - July 2-18, 2008 - There is room for 4 more people! We will be working at a children's school for a week, followed by a Safari. Contact Ann Fort, annfort8269 at comcast.net, 303-220-0840.

2) MISSIONS Dinner - Friday, June 20, 5:30 - 6:30  pm, Hope UMC, Englewood, CO. You are invited! Guest speaker will be Elizabeth McKee Gore, Executive Director of Global Alliances for the United Nations Foundation and the Nothing But Nets (malaria prevention) Program. Cost is $20. Please register with Betsy Keyack, bkeyack at att.net or Ann Fort. If you are attending Annual Conference, you should still register with 
Betsy or Ann.

3) VACATION BIBLE SCHOOLS need mission teams! The following churches are requesting mission teams:
*Upton, WY UMC. Near Mount Rushmore.
*Springfield, CO UMC.
*Cheraw, CO UMC, May 27-30, followed by mission work May 31 to June 3 or 4. Please contact Ann Fort to get connected.

4) KEEP THOSE PICTURES COMING for the Missions Parade slide show at Annual Conference! We are looking for pictures from your church in 
service to your local community; on mission trips; in relationship with United Methodist Missionaries - any mission involvement! Please send photos to Betsy Keyack, bkeyack at att.net or 10317 S. Charissglen Circle, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126.

5) UMVIM Team Leader training - Last call! - Saturday, April 12, Broomfield UMC, 9 am to Noon. Contact Betsy Keyack to register. Another training will be held in Steamboat Springs on May 3.

6) MISSION SCHOLARSHIPS are available for people who want to go on a mission trip but would like some financial help. They are usually in the 
amount of $500 - $1500. Please contact Betsy or Ann to apply.

7) VIMSHARE - the next issue of our newsletter will be out by June 1. You are invited to send Betsy Keyack mission trip stories and 2008/2009 
Mission trips that you would like advertised!

8) MISSIONS FUNDRAISER - You are invited to the Burrito Bash and Silent Auction at Wheat Ridge UMC on May 31 from 4-8 pm. Please contact Bev Marter, bkmarler at qwest.net for more info.
