Celebrate the Life of George Fort
George Fort, retired RMC clergy, died April 7, 2008 at the age of 94 in Colorado Springs. George served the churches of St Paul's Colorado Springs (1946-1948) and Calhan-Yoder (1948-1949). He transferred to the Nebraska Conference and then retired from the California Nevada Conference, transferring back to Rocky Mountain Conference after retirement.

A memorial service will be held at Central UMC in Colorado Springs on May 2, 2008 at 11:00, Judy Owsley officiating. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorials in George's name to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care, 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

Condolences may be sent to his daughter Phyllis Barron, 4737 Frost Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80916 or p2b2 at comcast.net.

General Conference Starts Wednesday!
Skip asked me to remind you all of the Young People's Address being webcast at 11:35 CDT at http://www.gc2008.umc.org. As you know 3 of our Conference people will be in it: Mike Ratliff, RMC clergy in extension ministry with the Division of Young People of the Board of Discipleship will introduce the address. Annie Rigo Arnoldy, associate pastor at First UMC, Grand Junction, and Andrew Craig, from Park Hill UMC in Denver will be two of the six who will be delivering the address. Word has it that this history-making address will not be boring.

Also, watch the new GC2008 page for daily updates, both print and video! http://rmcumc.org/News/gc2008/ and http://rmcvideo.org/. Look for the link, "Two-Steppin Reports."

Also check out the delegation's own blog: http://www.rmcdelegation.blogspot.com/

Revised Tithe Form Available
A revised Church Tithe Form is now available on the RMC web site. Look at the drop-down menus at the top; it will be found under Resources, Forms. Otherwise, look under Church Resources, Finance. The direct link is: http://rmcumc.org/CR/Finance/index.htm#titheform

Registration Packets Mailed; Correction
The Registration packets were mailed last week. If you should have one and did not receive one, please contact Nancy Cox at NancyCox at rmcumc.com or 303-389-9455.

There is one error: In the ad for the Celebration of the UMM and UMW on page 20, "Celebrating 100 Years Together", the price is listed as $23. It should be $22, as indicated correctly on the registration form.

The complete Registration Booklet is also on the RMCUMC.org web site, under Conference Information: http://rmcumc.org/COI/ac/ac2008/
